Porsche finder service

Expert Porsche sourcing

Use our expert team to locate the Porsche of your dreams!

This service is aimed at the discerning buyer who wants to buy a Porsche but either doesn't know where to start or doesn't have the time to do it properly.

Whether itís a 1992 964-bodied RS, a 2003 996 Carrera 4S or that elusive 1989 Carrera 3.2 you've always promised yourself, we can help!

We are asked frequently to help find specific Porsche models. This bespoke service is designed around your requirements and the amount of time you have or wish to devote to the sometimes lengthy business of tracking the right car down and checking it out.

What we do

The first step is to discuss your needs. You might be looking for your first Porsche and you are not sure whether to buy a classic or a contemporary model. Alternatively, you may be an experienced Porsche owner that knows exactly what you would like.

This is a personal, one to one service. Our team of Porsche experts have specific areas of expertise in particular models of Porsche, which can make choosing what model you want much easier. They can tell you exactly why you should and shouldnít go for a specific model, and whether it would suit your proposed use. Between us, we know every independent Porsche dealer of note in central and southern England (probably 90 per cent of the mainstream Porsche marketplace in the UK) and we know where to look for the right cars. Itís that kind of experience we will share with you when we search for your next Porsche.

We make the assumption that you know roughly what sort of Porsche you want (say a 996, 993 or a classic early 911), but we can discuss your needs and suggest specific Porsche models that might suit you. We usually ask you to complete a questionnaire about what sort of Porsche you wish, what you are going to use it for, colour and option preferences, your budget and so on. Then we go to work for you to identify a short list of candidates.

We will research the market, define a list of alternatives and refine the list down to a possible shortlist. We or you can make the initial telephone calls to the vendors to check availability and outline condition. You can either have some fun visiting a selected short list of cars, or we can filter the selection for you. After you have seen and driven the preferred choice, you can instruct us to perform a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection.

If you wish we can negotiate the price for you and if necessary arrange purchase of the car discreetly on your behalf.

How much

For this service we charge by the hour. We ask for a £300+VAT deposit up front and as we progress the search, we deduct our fees from this initial deposit at an hourly rate of £60 + VAT. The deposit is as much to ensure your commitment to the project as it is to cover our initial costs. We keep a timesheet to record the time spent on the project and submit this to you approximately every two weeks. When we exhaust the deposit, we will discuss progress and if approved, continue to search for the right car for you. Ongoing fees are then deducted from your credit/debit card two weekly in arrears, again at the rate of £60+VAT/hr. If we find the right car for you before the deposit is exhausted, we will refund the unused balance. A typical search cost usually runs to approximately £300 + VAT.

Any pre-purchase inspection cost will be as shown on the main inspections page.

Timescales and discretion

Normally the search timescale for a mainstream model is around four to eight weeks, but it does depend on the time of year. Limited editions and specials will take longer. Of course, good communication with you is essential and we will keep you in the loop as to what we are doing. If necessary, we may talk daily at some points, but  we will always email you weekly on progress. These reports also show the amount of time we have expended to date on finding your Porsche.

We specialise in complete discretion and are able to act as sole contact to the seller or to the restorer if you so desire.
